About ACH transfers

ACH is an electronic method for transferring funds between U.S. banks.
It’s commonly used for direct deposits, bill payments, and business disbursements.

This guide explains when a payment you send through ACH will be available in the recipient’s account.

When will the recipient receive the funds?

The timing depends on when you initiate the transfer. Use the tables below as a general reference for Next-Day and Same-Day ACH transfers.
All times are in Eastern Time (ET).

End of processing day*

* End of processing day refers to the latest time the recipient’s bank (RDFI) will credit the funds, usually between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. local time, though some banks may operate with extended hours.

✏️ Reminder

  • ACH transfers are not processed on weekends or U.S. federal holidays.

  • If you send a transfer at 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday, it will remain pending until Monday morning, when banks resume operations (typically between 6:00 and 9:00 a.m. local time).

  • These timelines are typical estimates. Actual processing times may vary slightly due to bank delays, system latency, or service outages
