Send money to anyone with a Sling Link

Share a payment link via text, email, or QR code — no Sling account needed to claim (except in the United States)

Updated yesterday

A Sling Link lets you send money to anyone across 70+ countries, even if they don't have a Sling Money account. Share the link via any messaging app, email, or QR code. The person who receives it can claim the money to their bank account or mobile money wallet.

If you're in the United States, you must claim your Sling Link through a verified Sling Money account. You can't withdraw directly to a bank account without a Sling Account.

How to send money via Sling Link

  1. Tap 'Send' on the home screen

  2. Tap 'Send to anyone using a link' or select a contact from the 'Invite to Sling' section at the bottom

  3. Choose the amount and currency you want to send

  4. (Optional) Add a note or photo to your transfer

  5. Review the transfer details and tap 'Send'

A Sling Link will be created to share with the person you want to pay. If they don't claim the link, you can cancel it and the money will be returned to your Sling Balance.

How to claim a Sling Link

  1. Open the Sling Link in your browser

  2. Select your country

  3. Enter your name

  4. Enter your bank account details or mobile money number

You'll receive an email where you can check the status of your transfer.

How Sling Links work

A Sling Link works like a self-custodial wallet that holds digital dollars or euros. It contains a private key in the URL, which gives the holder access to the money.

This means anyone who has the link can claim the money, so make sure you only share it with the person you want to pay. Sling Money monitors all Sling Link activity for suspicious behavior to help keep your money safe.

🚨 Important

Remember that a Sling Link is like cash — anyone who has the link can claim the funds. Do not share your Sling Link publicly or with anyone you do not trust.
