To enable instant, low-cost global money transfers, Sling Money currently supports the following digital currencies:
USDP or USDG — a digital dollar issued by Paxos Trust Company LLC and pegged to the US Dollar.
USDC — a digital dollar issued by Circle Internet Financial and pegged to the US Dollar.
EURC — a digital euro issued by Circle Internet Financial and fully backed by euro reserves.
If your Sling Balance is in digital euros, you can add digital dollars, or vice versa, and they will automatically convert at no cost.
We always display the value of your Sling Balance and all transfers in both digital currency, as well as in the government-issued display currency of your choice. When you add money to your Sling Wallet, it is converted into digital dollars or euros. When you withdraw to your local bank account, we automatically convert it back into your local currency.
What are digital dollars or digital euros?
Digital dollars and digital euros are dollars or euros that exist online instead of in a bank account or as cash. They are a type of stablecoin, meaning their value is backed 1:1 by US dollars or euros held reserve.
If you live in Europe, your Sling Balance is stored as digital euros. Digital euros on Sling Money are fully compliant with the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.
If you live outside of Europe, your Sling Balance is stored as digital dollars.
🚨 Important
Only use the Solana blockchain when transferring to or from your Sling Wallet.
Transfers sent using unsupported blockchains will not appear in your Sling Wallet, and your funds may be permanently lost. In these cases, neither Sling Money nor your wallet provider will be able to recover your funds.
Transfers sent using unsupported digital currencies (such as USDT or SOL) can only be recovered by exporting your private key and accessing your Transfer Wallet through another Solana wallet app (for example, Phantom).
