Your wallet has two keys
1. Public key (wallet address): This is like your email address. It's safe to share with others so they can send you money.
2. Private key: This is a secret code that gives you full access and control over your wallet. Never share your private key with anyone.
Your private key gives full control of your wallet
Think of it like the key to a personal safe — whoever has it can access everything inside. Sling Money has built-in tools and trusted partners to help protect your private key.
If someone gains access to your private key, they can take all of your money. That's why you must never share your private key with anyone.
We'll never ask you for your private key
If anyone claims to represent Sling Money and asks for your key, do not share it and stop communicating immediately.
How to export your wallet from Sling Money
Exporting your wallet means taking your private key out of Sling Money so you can use it with another Solana-based wallet. However, exporting your wallet carries certain risks, including:
Loss of money if your private key is exposed or mishandled
Loss of access to Sling Money’s deposit and withdrawal services
Removal from the Sling Money Directory
To export your private key:
Go to 'Settings'
Tap 'More'
Tap 'Private key'
Read the instructions carefully
Confirm that you understand the risks
Copy your private key
We recommend using Phantom Wallet if you plan to use your key with another wallet app.
How to recover your private key
If you lose or change your device, you can recover your Sling account and private key through Evervault's secure recovery process.
