Digital euros are euros that exist online instead of in a bank account or as cash. They are a type of stablecoin and are backed 1:1 by the euro, so their value always stays the same. One digital euro will always be worth one real euro.
If you live in Europe and add money to your Sling Balance, it’s converted into digital euros, so it can move instantly and securely between Sling users.
If you live outside of Europe, your money is stored in digital dollars.
When you withdraw to your local bank account, we automatically convert your digital euros back into your local currency.
Transparency and compliance
The digital euro we use is issued under European regulations and is overseen in France, in line with the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework — meaning it’s designed to be secure, transparent, and fully compliant.
