Digital euros are euros that exist online instead of in a traditional bank account. At Sling, we use EURC — a digital version of the euro issued by Circle Internet Financial.
Each EURC is backed by real euros held in euro-denominated bank accounts, and every EURC can always be exchanged 1:1 for a regular euro.
EURC is issued under European regulations and is overseen in France, in line with the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework — meaning it’s designed to be secure, transparent, and fully compliant.
