Sling has moved the primary stablecoin used for storing balances from USDC to USDP. This switch will help us expand into more countries in a sustainable way.
What happens to my USDC?
From 26th of June of 2024 balances held in USDC in Sling have to be converted to USDP for you to be able to continue to use Sling. When you open the Sling app after this date we’ll prompt you to complete this conversion. When you convert from USDC to USDP no value is lost — the conversion happens on a 1:1 basis.
Can I keep my account in USDC?
Sling will now primarily operate on USDP instead of USDC. Your wallet is your wallet and you can take it with you, but to continue to use Sling you’ll need to use USDP. Over time, Sling will add support for additional stablecoins.
