The speed of transactions involving bank accounts and mobile money providers will vary based on the type of transaction and the country it's happening in.

In the United States

Adding money with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a debit card should be instant.

Removing money to a debit card takes anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.

In the United Kingdom

Adding money with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a debit card should be instant.

Adding money with a bank transfer should take less than a minute, but can sometimes take up to ten minutes.

In the European Economic Area

Removing money with a bank transfer is instant if your bank supports SEPA Instant. Sling Money will always attempt to use SEPA Instant and will use it if your bank supports it. If your bank does not support SEPA Instant withdrawal by bank transfer can take up to 48 hours.

What is SEPA Instant

SEPA Instant transactions are sent and received in seconds, unlike traditional SEPA transactions which are processed "within seconds."

Some banks or bank accounts may not have support for SEPA Instant, in which case a transaction can take longer to settle to your bank account. If this happens you should contact your bank and ask them to support SEPA Instant.
